Robert GabrickAn avid reader and researcher, Robert Gabrick became interested in all types of transportation vehicles--cars, trucks, buses, tractors, trains, airplanes, and ships--as well as all things mechanical in early childhood. Since then Mr. Gabrick went on to become a history teacher, consultant, researcher, and writer. He has been awarded 26 separate fellowships and grants for his teaching and to conduct historical research. According to Mr. Gabrick, his books “represent ‘vehicles’ to tell the larger story." He adds, "They are part of the important effort to preserve an accurate historical record of the people and the products they developed. They also help to secure the legacy of legendary individuals, companies, and vehicles, including Autocar, FWD, Diamond T, and Greyhound buses." His extensive in-depth research and the resulting informative text and most significantly the captions for his nine books have earned him the well deserved nickname, "The Caption King."
